Zoe Kilbride Garden Design

About Me
After a busy and rewarding career in the fashion industry, I made the decision to retrain in garden and planting design at Capel Manor College—choosing to pursue something I truly felt passionate about. Garden design allows me to combine creativity, nature, and wellbeing, and there’s nothing more fulfilling than sharing that passion through my work.
I offer a bespoke, personal, and collaborative service, working closely with each client to create planting schemes and garden designs that reflect their lifestyle, aspirations, and the character of their space. Every design is tailored not only to the practical needs of the site, but also to evoke a sense of harmony with the natural surroundings.
My design style is grounded in the thoughtful use of colour, texture, and form. I love creating planting compositions that feel like a seamless tapestry—gardens that engage the senses, provide year-round interest, and offer space to pause, reflect, and enjoy.
I believe gardens have the power to transform not just spaces, but wellbeing too. Being outdoors, connecting with nature, and engaging with plants has been shown to reduce stress and improve mood. Whether large or small, every garden has the potential to provide a personal sanctuary and a moment of calm in a busy world.
My studio is based in Birchanger, near Bishop’s Stortford, on the Hertfordshire and Essex border. Most of my work takes place in Hertfordshire, Essex, and North London, but I’m always happy to discuss projects further afield.
Whether you're looking to redesign an entire garden or refresh a single border, I'd love to help you transform your outdoor space into something truly special.
